Executive Director
Jo has over 20 years of designing and implementing outdoor education programs for school aged children to adults. Her schooling and her work have led her all over the world, including a Ranch in California, one of the leading Outdoor Education Companies in Australia and rafting, canoeing and sea kayaking companies across Canada. Throughout these years, Jo has seen the importance of getting children outside to play and just be. Jo has worked with many not for profit organisations over the years and is very excited to start this organisation in the heart of Revelstoke. Now, a Mom of 2, her passion for getting children outside has increased as well as helping fellow Moms return to the work force.

Treasurer
Marta has over 15 years of educational experience, specifically focussed on the outdoors. She first completed her Sociology degree with a focus on structured inequalities and began working as a facilitator at a before and after-school care program where she discovered her passion for working with children and creating inclusive environments. This led her to complete an Education degree specializing in outdoor education with practicums at the North Vancouver Outdoor School in Squamish. Throughout her schooling she ski instructed in the winters and facilitated outdoor multi-sport summer camps to support her passion for outdoor education (and skiing!). Now in Revelstoke, Marta works at Parks Canada, has two children and is excited to work with the Revelstoke Afterschool Society.
